For those of you that I have not had the pleasure of meeting or speaking with, my name is Tony Taylor. I am honored that you would take the time to read more about my company and myself. Thank you.
First to tell you a little more about myself. I’m a mortgage broker licensed in Florida, Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia. I actually purchased my first investment property at the young age of 19. I’ll never forget, it was a small single-family house in Capitol Heights, Maryland. I ended making $11,000 on that house with the guidance of my father. And then I ended up buying my second investment property in Washington DC at only 20. Well in 2004, I moved to Tampa, Florida and after years of watching other people make a fortune with real estate, I concluded I could do it better than most with proper planning. Then one night it hit me and that’s when Old House Investors launched.
I started Old House Investors in November 2005 when I finally concluded a real estate bust was inevitable. I knew that for the past several years, people were able to sell properties regardless of the condition. But there would soon be a time when people that owned old houses that needed work would have an awful hard time trying to sell these properties. Right after I closed large commercial loan I took a protion of my broker commission andI invested $10,000.00 into my first deal in Tampa, Florida. I ended spending $60,000.00 into rehabbing that property but I made $30,000 at the end of the day even after having several major setbacks.
Well in early, 2007, I relocated back to Washington DC to establish our new corporate office. Today, Old House Investors buys properties, in particular old houses, throughout Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia and Florida. In addition, we provide other investors with opportunities to purchase the properties that we buy for their own rehabilitation opportunities.
